Virtual Libraries
Did you know DGHE offers seven different e-library options? We do!
We want to make sure all our students have free, easy access to the material they need to complete assignments, learn, and become the best professionals they can be. More than just offering platforms, we also have an in-house librarian for academic and learning support. Students who are not fully familiar with technology and online reading systems can reach out at any time and request print versions of the reading content necessary for their classes.
Why e-libraries?
You already know that we are all about making our student’s life easier. DGHE believes in study-life balance.
We know that our students need the flexibility to study from home, from work or even during their commute – so we partner with several e-libraries that provide thousands of journals, articles, books and magazines you can access from anywhere and everywhere.
For you to be able to access the exclusive content, you only will need to use your DGHE email! After that, they work just like any other research platform: explore the different categories and find specific books on the search bar.
More than in-screen reading:
Our partners were handpicked for you to get the best systems, so explore the platforms! You can read online, download, save books, highlight sections and even downloadable to make notes. This will all be saved on your profile.DGHE offers a range of HND and Degree courses in Art & Design, Business Management, Health & Social Care, Criminology & Criminal Justice and Public Services – so of course, we needed to contact specialists in each subject to attend all our students. Check below to learn which e-library would best fit your needs.
Library & Academic Support
If none of those platforms has what you are looking for or you need any help to access and make the best of them, please talk to our librarian.
Mark is our e-book expert and has all the obligatory reading material from all courses available at his desk. He’s here to help you with your academic needs and support your learning journey. You can book some time with Mark on our Moodle platform or meet him in our library between 9am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.
You can also contact m.pester@dghe.ac.uk to ask any questions, request materials or send Mark a hello!
