Coronavirus Advice and Guidance

We’re doing all we can to keep you safe, up-to-date and informed.

Our COVID-19 page is updated regularly, but please check the Government and NHS websites and download the NHS COVID-19 App for the most up-to-date information, as the situation is changing rapidly.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

The Head of Centre will be acting as the lead for all Covid enquiries and actions.

All staff and students must contact covid@dghe.ac.uk when ill; self-isolating; displaying symptoms, or having general enquiries. This will be monitored throughout the day by the Head of Centre and key staff.

Protect. Respect. Be Kind.

We enter Autumn Term at a point where people have many different viewpoints, concerns and expectations about how we respond to Covid-19. Here at DGHE, we are a respectful community, and everyone needs to do their bit to keep everyone safe, especially those most vulnerable. As part of our community, we ask that you:

  • Get tested regularly

Test yourself twice per week, three days apart.

  • Where and how can I get a rapid lateral flow COVID-19 test?

Staff and students who are not displaying symptoms of COVID-19 can order rapid lateral flow testing kits from the NHS website.

Anyone with coronavirus symptoms should request a PCR test for themselves or a member of their household from the UK government Covid-19 website or by calling 119. A test should be booked as soon as symptoms begin.

  • Get vaccinated

Vaccination is by far the most important step you can take to protect yourselves and others and help DGHE maintain its full programme of in-person activities. So we strongly encourage you to get fully vaccinated as soon as possible.

Support at DGHE

We are here to help and support you in whatever way you need, wherever you currently are. Should you need to self-isolate, let us know via covid@dghe.ac.uk.

During your time at DGHE, we provide free access to the Togetherall website and the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust platform. These are online wellbeing community services, and you can also call on your College and our Advice and Wellbeing Service (AWS). We can support you whether you’re on or off campus, but above all, it’s important to remember that you’re never alone.
