Paul Talan
Head of Centre
Paul started working as a professional photographer and camera operator in film after leaving his studies. In the early part of his career, he also worked as a social worker, supporting young people living rough on the street. During that time, he was asked to design and deliver a programme developing literacy and life skills with the hope of providing people with better opportunities. This sparked his interest in teaching, specifically developing a curriculum for non-traditional learners like himself, who find it very difficult to learn and adapt to traditional learning environments. He has been working in education ever since, for almost 30 years now.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family. He is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys a variety of activities such as camping, running, cycling, martial arts and most of all, swimming.
